About The Position

Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Research Unit at Biogen seeks an accomplished and driven neuroimmunologist to join the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Research Unit (AD&D RU) as a Research Fellow. The AD&D RU is focused on developing and delivering innovative therapeutic intervention strategies for AD and other dementias. The Research Fellow will be a part of a fast-faced and motivated drug discovery group within the AD &D RU that is focused on developing novel drug candidates for microglial targets for AD. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge and expertise in neuroimmunology. The candidate must have a first-hand experience with a variety of in vitro and in vivo models; and techniques to investigate microglial function and neuroimmune modulation in AD. The candidate must be able to utilize these models for target validation, mechanism of action studies and support for drug discovery projects. The position requires in-depth expertise in state-of-the-art immunological, biochemical and cell biological techniques as well as broad in vivo experience to study neuroimmune modulation in neurodegenerative diseases. The candidate must be driven and willing to be a part of and contribute to fast paced drug discovery projects in the neuroimmunology space. As Research Fellow, the candidate should be capable of identifying and planning projects and studies, independently executing and interpreting experiments to achieve agreed upon objectives. The candidate should be able to work in a collaborative environment.
