Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, such as biology, biomedical engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with animal models
  • Strong publication record

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute independent research projects investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle aging, regeneration, and dysfunction.
  • Apply bioengineering approaches to study muscle stem cell behavior and tissue regeneration.
  • Conduct in vivo and in vitro experiments, including aged mouse models, muscle injury/regeneration assays, cell culture, and engineered muscle platforms.
  • Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, and figures for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at scientific conferences.
  • Contribute to grant writing and assist with experimental justification and preliminary data generation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers, clinicians, and computational scientists.
