About The Position

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will have a primary focus on clinical informatics-driven, health services and translational research, with strong emphasis on AI ‑ enabled risk stratification, cardiogenetics, and implementation of clinical decision support (CDS) tools in primary care. Key responsibilities and activities will include : Conducting EHR ‑ based clinical research using large, longitudinal datasets to support development and validation of AI/ML models for early detection of inherited cardiac conditions (e.g., long QT syndrome, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy). Supporting data integration and feature engineering across structured and unstructured sources, including family history data, ECG parameters, AI ‑ derived ECG phenotypes, and clinical covariates. Assisting with model development, validation, and performance evaluation in collaboration with biostatistics, data science, and clinical informatics experts. Participating in health services and implementation science activities, including workflow assessment, clinician and patient stakeholder interviews, and co ‑ design of CDS tools for integration into primary care practice. Contributing to retrospective and prospective study analyses, prevalence estimation using AI ‑ assisted methods, and simulation of clinical impact compared with standard referral practices. Preparing manuscripts, abstracts, and reports, and supporting regulatory and IRB documentation related to AI ‑ enabled clinical research. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team spanning family medicine, cardiology, cardiovascular genomics, clinical informatics, quantitative health sciences, and AI research. Type of research: This position is not lab ‑ based. Requirements

  • Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.

Responsibilities
