About The Position

The Lab for Cellular Immunotherapy and Immunoengineering (LCII) led by Dr. Gloria Kim is in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Immunology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science at Mayo Clinic. Our lab develops and translates next-generation cell therapies for autoimmune diseases, cancer, and transplantation. This position focuses on advancing CAR-Treg therapy to enhance immune regulation in autoimmune diseases and transplantation, in collaboration with industry partners and clinicians to accelerate clinical translation. We seek individuals eager to leverage expertise in T cell engineering, immunology, and biomedical engineering to uncover immune cell functions and develop innovative therapies. Our research has strong translational potential, with a goal of bringing engineered immune cell therapies into clinical applications. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
