The Jefferson Primary Care Research Center at Thomas Jefferson University seeks an early- to mid-career PhD-level primary care researcher as a faculty member to be appointed within the Department of Family and Community Medicine. The center is a university-level structure that enhances the primary care research portfolio of the university, in alignment with the clinical mission of Jefferson Health. Jefferson Health is a 32-hospital system that cares for a total of >1,000,000 primary care patients across Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Jefferson is full owner of Jefferson Health Plan, which provides insurance products in Medicaid, Medicare, ACA, and CHIP. Within the greater Philadelphia area, Jefferson Primary Care includes 98 practices serving 560,000 people across diverse communities, including an extensive network of community-based primary care sites in low-income neighborhoods. The Department of Family and Community Medicine is a nationally renowned academic department of over 50 faculty members, including three Divisions and three specialized Centers, with robust programming across clinical, research, educational, and community pillars.
