About The Position

As an Intern at Thrive Scholars, you will get first hand experience learning the ins and outs of research and evaluation at a growing non-profit. You’ll work directly with our Director of Research & Evaluation and their team on research, data collection, analysis, internal reporting, and writing external research publications. With the collaborative nature of our organization, you’ll have the opportunity to work across departments and brainstorm and support new research projects and initiatives. Interns will receive mentoring from their supervisors and other staff, as well as the opportunity to communicate and network with professionals across career fields.

Requirements

• Current or past Thrive Scholar.
• Interest in education research and evaluation.
• Experience with data analysis is a plus.
• Ability to commit to 15 hours of work per week.
• Strong organizational skills and initiative.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

• Passion for working with first-generation students and students from economically disadvantaged communities.
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in learning about non-profit management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research, data collection, and analysis.
• Support internal reporting and writing external research publications.
• Collaborate with various departments on research projects.
• Participate in survey development and data quality assurance.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Help in the creation and distribution of external reports.
