The Director of Research and Evaluation works directly with the Senior Scientist, Regional VPs, and program staff to implement new programs, design Evaluation Plans, oversee data collection, and conduct quantitative and qualitative evaluations of specified programs. This position also produces evaluation reports adhering to federal confidentiality, privacy and other standard practice requirements. Essential Job Functions include facilitating development of Implementation Work Plans and biweekly meetings for new programs, designing and implementing process, outcome, and impact evaluations for program components, tracking fidelity of program plans, assessment tools or surveys, designing and implementing statistical databases, supervising Research Assistants, training staff in evaluation procedures or evidence-based practice tools, conducting focus groups and analyzing satisfaction surveys, assisting with Performance Improvement projects, designing questionnaires and surveys, writing reports for the Board of Directors and WestCare senior management team, serving as a liaison to independent evaluation experts, and assisting with presentations, papers and data dissemination. The role requires embracing and embodying the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
