The lab of Dr. Laura Colgin and The Center for Learning and Memory are seeking a Research Engineering/ Scientist Assistant to provide administrative support to the Center for Learning and Memory and technical assistance to research projects investigating the neurophysiology of learning and memory. The position is ideal for someone interested in gaining research experience in behavioral neurophysiology and/or neuronal underpinnings of learning and memory. The successful applicant will divide their time between the Center for Learning and Memory and the Colgin Lab in the Department of Neuroscience. Specifically, 25% of their time will be spent providing general administrative and clerical support to the Center for Learning and Memory, while 75% of their time will be spent performing research investigating the neuronal mechanisms of learning and memory. The position requires a general background in neuroscience, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding organization skills. Ideally, the position will start immediately, but the start date is negotiable. Initial assignment will be for one year. Subsequent renewal will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.
