About The Position
This role is located in Port Aransas, Texas. We are seeking applications for a qualified, self-motivated individual interested in a part-time Research assistant role to study marine and estuary biogeochemistry under the direction of Dr. Xinping Hu of the Marine Science Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will assist with daily management of the laboratory, including planning, coordinating, and conducting laboratory experiments and field sampling efforts mostly using small boats, and conducting chemical analyses of water and sediment samples. This position may also require helping with preparation of manuscripts for publications and project report writing. This position could potentially become full-time.
