In this dynamic Professional role only, you will contribute to the development and assessment of advanced health condition monitoring solutions for the railway industry. Applying engineering principles, vehicle dynamics expertise and complex interpretation of condition monitoring system measurements, you will help deliver practical, real-world solutions that keep rail systems running safely and efficiently. Working within the Data Analytics Team at Monash IRT, you will develop bespoke hardware and software solutions for a wide range of sensors — from accelerometers to acoustic and imaging technologies — and support cutting-edge monitoring platforms that operate continuously for industry partners. Your work will directly inform engineering judgement, system understanding and defect diagnosis across modern rail networks. You will also collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop reporting systems and ensure monitoring solutions meet operational needs, making strong communication, organisation and professionalism essential.
