About The Position

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) is seeking a Research Director for its Center for Aerospace Resilient Systems (CARS). This position focuses on strengthening and growing the CARS research portfolio, particularly in aerospace cybersecurity research across defense systems, civil aviation, and space systems domains. The role involves acquiring and leading high-quality research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in enhancing aviation and aerospace resilient systems. The Research Director may also have teaching responsibilities to engage students in research experiences. The position can be set at various levels, including Senior Research Scientist or Principal Research Scientist, depending on the candidate's preparation and experience. Candidates are encouraged to apply if they are strong researchers eager to address key aviation and aerospace systems resiliency challenges.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doc training or professional work experience.
• Demonstrated record of research achievement.
• Ability to acquire a US security clearance.
• Expertise in aviation and aerospace systems, operations, and regulations.
