An intern in research and development at Tyson Foods will gain experience in product development by working alongside food scientists in the development and optimization of new products and processes. With Tyson's vast portfolio, including chicken, pork, beef, prepared foods and even tortillas, interns will be exposed to diverse modern processes and technical expertise. Interns will have the opportunity to work on Tyson's iconic brands including Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Ball Park, State Fair, Hillshire Farms, and many others. Each intern will be tasked with multiple projects that provide an immediate impact on the business through cost-savings, quality improvement, and innovation. At the end of the internship, interns will present the results of their projects and showcase the products they developed throughout the summer. High levels of collaboration are encouraged, and interns will have the opportunity to network with leaders across the company. The length of the summer internship is a jam packed 12 weeks from May to August.
