Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our R&D team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the consumer electronics sector, specifically focusing on TVs, sound bars, projectors and monitors. The intern will also work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to understand how research and development contributes to various stages of the product development process, from concept to prototype validation.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with consumer electronics and an understanding of how products are built. Experience using software such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and other standard office systems
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly in front of a large group
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to team dynamics with confidence to share their findings and ideas
• Passion for Technology: A genuine interest in consumer electronics and emerging technologies within the field

Nice To Haves

• Mandarin/Spanish Speaking is preferrable. We have many suppliers from all across the world, multi-lingual ability could help to blend in smoother and quicker.

Responsibilities

• Product Development Support: Assist in the development of new products and features, including prototype evaluation and design validation activities.
• Technology and Market Research: Conduct research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and consumer preferences related to TVs, soundbars, projectors, monitors and other consumer electronic products.
• Prototype Testing and Evaluation: Assist in the testing and evaluation of prototypes, documenting performance metrics, test results, and user feedback.
• Documentation Support: Help create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, development logs, and engineering change records.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product management, and quality, to support product development initiatives.
• Data Analysis: Analyze test results, performance data, and user feedback to provide insights that support product design improvements and development decisions.
• Presentation Preparation: Assist in preparing technical presentations and reports for internal design reviews and stakeholder meetings (Walmart, Microcenter, BrandsMart, etc.).
