About The Position
Viracon LLC is excited to offer a challenging summer internship opportunity for the summer of 2025. This internship is designed for students who are eager to work on monumental building projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering. Interns will have the chance to engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to the development of innovative architectural products. Each intern will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide them through their projects and help them develop their skills in a supportive environment. The internship will involve assisting in material evaluation and new product development, which includes designing and conducting experiments to gather data and provide solutions to engineering challenges. Interns will lead studies in the lab, create lab samples, and run manufacturing trials to assess material properties and performance. Building strong working relationships with suppliers is also a key aspect of the role, as it is essential to stay informed about new materials and technologies that can enhance product offerings. Additionally, interns will evaluate field failures and work on developing solutions to prevent future occurrences. They will also be responsible for developing additional test procedures to ensure that current and new products perform effectively when installed in various field applications.
