About The Position

The Research Development (RD) team within the Office of Research seeks to fill the position of Research Development Coordinator, Science & Technology. This person will be a critical member of the RD Team and will work with faculty to develop new research teams, foster innovative project ideas, and craft competitive proposals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years

Nice To Haves

Master's or Ph.D. degree in a science and technology discipline
Federal grants experience in either research development or research administration

Responsibilities

Performing proposal development activities for the area of Science & Technology/STEM, to identify opportunities, assess needs, and provide proposal services for small (1-3 PIs) proposals (editing, mock reviews, etc.)
Production lead for large, multidisciplinary proposals in specialty and may assist with others outside of the discipline area
Create budgets as needed
Provide training and opportunity kickoffs for area of specialty with a minimum of 2 workshops per semester
Work with RD staff on special projects, such as collaboration activities
