  • Assist in the design, simulation, and optimization of ion sources for FIB systems.
  • Conduct experiments using dual-beam microscopes to test and validate the performance of ion sources.
  • Develop and implement automation protocols for experimental procedures and data acquisition to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
  • Analyze experimental data to evaluate the FIB performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of new methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations on findings, methodologies, and proposed improvements.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Demonstrated laboratory experience and hands-on skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Hourly rate between $21.50 - $35.00 depending on location.
  • Relocation stipend of $5,000 for eligible students located 50+ miles away from the co-op location.
