About The Position

The Role: Our site in Franklin, MA is seeking a Research & Development Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. What You’ll Do: Learn setting up experimental fixtures & testing - Learn existing equipment operations and improving current test fixtures. Failure analysis with emphasis on identifying root cause and suggestions for improvement. Conducting research (literature, patent & experimental research), providing accurate timelines for project tasks, data analysis and preparing presentations. Help support senior scientists in their projects.

Requirements

  • Creative, detail-oriented, able to solve complex problems using methodical approach and rational thinking
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of chemical labs and how to work in one
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey information both verbally and in writing
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

  • Process design and optimization utilizing Design of Experiments (DOE) is a plus.

  • Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
