About the position

The Research, Development, and Engineering Manager at Reynolds Consumer Products is responsible for leading engineering functions to enhance production technology and ensure the successful installation of machinery and tools in manufacturing operations. This role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement within a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct engineering functions to meet design requirements of customer orders and improve existing product lines.
  • Oversee the start-up and commercialization of new processes within the food bag value stream.
  • Review all technical content and ancillary services for assigned product lines.
  • Support manufacturing processes through effective and accurate product design.
  • Assist with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital budgets.
  • Ensure capabilities, consistency, and compliance in application and use of engineering methods, production systems/procedures, standards, and plantwide continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Prior technical team management experience with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated hands-on project management experience with leadership ability to drive projects from start to end.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of bag conversion processes.
  • Polymer blown film extrusion experience.
