About The Position
Under the general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, the incumbent performs at the advisor level and serves as a top subject matter expert on petroleum markets at a high degree of independence, initiative, and judgement. The incumbent serves as a most highly skilled practitioner and innovator conducting research and analysis for the EAD's responsibility to evaluate and monitor transportation fuel refiner margins and the economic impacts of enforcing a refining margin and penalty. The incumbent will work on high-profile projects to acquire, analyze, and disseminate data on sensitive program issues. The incumbent independently conducts the most complex analysis to produce a higher degree of broad analytical and comprehensive work requiring highly specialized expertise and a diverse set of skills. The incumbent has a high level of knowledge, motivation, skill, and ability and, as a top subject matter expert, is responsible for independently organizing, and conducting the most highly complex economic analyses. The incumbent may serve as a liaison for divisions and units.
