About The Position

Under the general direction of the Research Data Supervisor l, the Research Data Specialist l performs independent labor market research and analysis, with emphasis on industry employment and wage data. Possesses expert knowledge of EDD's administrative databases, as well as various state and federal government agency data. The incumbent plans, organizes, and conducts complex economic studies in a variety of areas related to the Department's client services (e.g., employers, economic workforce preparation entities) and will be required to apply systematic and intensive research methodologies and data analysis using MS Excel, Power BI, PC SAS, SQL and other appropriate software and database programs. Position exists at 9323 Tech Center Drive, Suite 1000, Sacramento, CA 95826 ARU 307 Free parking and close to light rail.

Must obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the examination.
