The Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute offers innovative treatments in urology and kidney medicine, including minimally invasive, scarless options for urologic procedures and medical management of kidney disease. As a Research Data Scientist on our team, you will be responsible for applying statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling methodologies to develop algorithms and conduct data analytics. You will also apply programming skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB, or similar. Through this work, the position supports our mission to offer patients the best in clinical care, research, treatment, and prevention. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working remote varying between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Perform basic data analysis to include data validation, investigation and testing of hypotheses.
  • Assist Principal Investigator with transforming data to support the investigation of research questions.
  • Build basic predictive models and other mathematical or statistical models as needed by using modeling tools.
  • Utilize process enhancement opportunities to improve the efficiency of data pulling, reporting, programming, operation, etc.
  • Work to curate and process complex clinical and biological data.
  • May communicate or present research findings.
  • Identify technical issues and manage resolution for analytics programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and two years of experience conducting data analytics, math or statistical modeling or machine learning OR a Master's or PhD degrees in related field
  • Proficient with programming skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similar
  • Communication and presentation skills to summarize data for Principal Investigators and other research audiences.
  • Experience as a Research Data Scientist or in a closely related analytical role.
