About The Position

The incumbent will perform technical research and statistical work in developing healthcare workforce and education trends in California for the Healthcare Workforce Development Division, as well as providing data support for OHWD. Incumbent has responsibility for the development and employment of research methodology and techniques; implementing research projects; gathering, compiling, editing, and interpreting quantitative data; developing, testing, implementing, and monitoring systems and procedures to assemble and structure the necessary data. The incumbent may act as a team leader or coordinate the efforts of representatives of various governmental agencies on larger projects and work on multidisciplinary teams. The incumbent will use appropriate computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, SAS, Tableau, Python, ArcGIS) to analyze and display data, develop reports, and present information at meetings and conference workshops.

Requirements

  • Possession of Minimum Qualifications as verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
  • Experience conducting data analysis using statistical software such as SAS, Excel, Python, or similar.
  • Experience managing or maintaining datasets.
  • Experience creating data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
  • Experience presenting data analysis results and research findings to stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience conducting data analysis using statistical software.
  • 3 years of experience in managing or maintaining datasets.
  • 2 years of experience creating data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
  • 3 years of experience presenting data analysis results and research findings to stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
