About The Position

The Laboratory of Dr. Park-Min is seeking a part-time/full-time research technician/study coordinator for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The study coordinator will assist with the execution of clinical research trials and will be responsible for the collection, compilation, and documentation of research data, ensuring compliance and accurate adherence to research protocols and the overall practice of clinical trials. The study coordinator will process samples and analyze data. These positions provide opportunities to develop independent projects and obtain training and experience relevant for graduate, dental, or medical school. Positions are available beginning August 2022.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Proficient use of technology (e.g., Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Coordination of research projects under faculty supervision
• Screening patients for eligibility in clinical trials
• Recruiting and enrolling eligible patients in studies
• Reviewing patient history and recording appropriate pre-study laboratory data
• Obtaining laboratory blood work from patients and arranging other necessary testing
• Processing, storing, and shipping specimens
• Assisting in informed consent of patients in clinical trials
• Following up with study patients.

Benefits

• Base pay scale of $54,000.00 - $82,125.00
