The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is in search of a bilingual dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented individual to join the research team at the University of Southern California. The Research Coordinator II will participate in NIH-funded environmental health research studies. These studies are investigating the effects of PFAS exposure, air pollutants, and other environmental and social stressors on human health. This position involves (1) maintaining contact with participants enrolled in the studies and scheduling appointments for study visits; (2) conducting interviews in English and collecting biological specimens from participants for PFAS and related environmental testing; (3) entering data into databases; and (4) providing project support to the research studies and the study staff personnel and faculty investigators. The position will also include coordinating participant follow-up, assisting with IRB amendment submissions, managing bio-specimen shipping and tracking, and ensuring accurate and timely data collection as described in the funded applications. Excellent English writing and speaking skills are required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends may be needed. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is preferred. The hourly rate range for this position is $35.03 - $38.46.
