The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking a high-integrity and independently motivated Research Coordinator I – Research Division position to play a key role within the administrative offices. This is a full-time, permanent position, located near the Health Sciences Campus at the LA General Medical Center. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of applied research experience. Strong interest in clinical research, health disparities, and community health/health services research preferred. Demonstrated excellent organizational, coordination and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to set priorities for productivity. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with and recruit parents, community members and multidisciplinary medical professionals from diverse healthcare settings. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Experience in data collection and managing research projects preferred. Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be needed. Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
