The mission of the Frailty Research Program, led by Dr. Dae Kim, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, is to improve care of older adults with frailty by generating high-quality evidence, training future clinicians and researchers, and changing health systems and policy. The research associate will work together with Dr. Kim and other investigators to conduct research projects about frailty and other geriatric syndromes by helping patient-oriented research and other research-related administrative activities, which focuses on the design, execution, and analysis of research studies involving older adults. A competitive candidate will be a goal-driven, independent individual with a bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines with 2-5 years of relevant experience or a master's degree in relevant disciplines who has the highest level of integrity, strong organizational skills, verbal communication, and writing skills. Relevant disciplines include (not limited to) geriatrics, gerontology, epidemiology, data science (AI and machine learning), health services research, biostatistics, nutrition, and rehabilitation science. Prior experience in project management, IRB submission, study coordination, quantitative data analysis (e.g., data from surveys, cohort studies, or clinical trials), or qualitative research is required. Experience in interacting with older adults in the clinic, hospital, or nursing home settings is desirable. Candidates who are willing to commit at least 2 years are preferred.
