The Sleep, Affective Neuroscience, and Development (SAND) Lab (www.sleepneuro.pitt.edu) is hiring two Research Associates. Located at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital and led by Dr. Soehner, the SAND Lab conducts cutting-edge research on sleep and circadian rhythms. This is a casual position with flexible scheduling; however, daylight, evening, and weekend availability is required. Most hours will involve evening and weekend shifts in the sleep lab, with schedules determined by participant availability. Research Associates will support Department of Defense and National Institute of Mental Health–funded studies examining how sleep and circadian factors influence mood and performance in adolescents and young adults. The role includes hands-on involvement in advanced research methods, including the collection of sleep, behavioral, and biological data in the lab. This position is grant-funded.
