The successful candidate will conduct applied economic research of water resources, which includes survey development, modeling, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The candidate will also gain valuable experience by assisting in presentation preparation, publishing articles, and writing grant proposals. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

  • M.A. in economics, resource or environmental economics, natural resource management or other applicable field by date of hire
  • Advanced training in quantitative methods, microeconomics, and applied econometrics
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Survey development and quantitative skills
  • Experience working with Qualtrics and optimization software, in particular GAMs
  • Familiarity with panel and cross-sectional data analysis
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA, or SAS)
  • Experience in conducting interdisciplinary research and a willingness to travel

Responsibilities
