We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our lab's ongoing genetic and functional genomics studies of complex human genetic diseases. The responsibilities of the role include cell culture, cell/molecular biology and experimental assays. In this role, the hired individual will learn and execute specialized molecular techniques including nucleic acid isolation from rare and challenging human samples, ddPCR, sequencing library preparation for genome sequencing and other genomic assays (e.g., chromatin accessibility). Additionally, they will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory including ordering, genotyping and breeding mouse models as wells as aiding with regulatory documents. This position is well-suited for an individual with previous post-undergraduate lab experience who is interested in playing a long-term role in the success of a research program. The position will work under general supervision. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience with molecular biology techniques and an interest in human genetics.
