About The Position
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at Penn State has an immediate part-time opening for a researcher working in the Astronomy Rocket Lab. This position involves providing research assistance and consultation on diffraction gratings for ultraviolet and X-ray spectroscopy, including the application of electron-beam lithography at the Penn State Materials Research Institute. The Research Associate will also offer management support for research on silicon pore gratings and assist with graduate student mentoring.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Physics, Astrophysics, or a related field
- A minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience
