Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and creative Research Associate to join our team focused on protein expression, purification, and innovation . The successful candidate will contribute to the production, purification, and functional characterization of recombinant proteins supporting our research and development efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing interdisciplinary team and help establish core protein capabilities for a breakthrough synthesis platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology and protein techniques (academic or industry settings)

  • Experience with cell-free and cell-based protein expression

Responsibilities

  • Express recombinant proteins in cell-free, bacterial, and yeast systems, in bulk and at high throughput.
  • Purify proteins using chromatographic techniques such as affinity (Ni-NTA, GST), ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography
  • Analyze protein samples using SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, BCA assays, and other biochemical methods
  • Develop and optimize activity and characterization assays for purified proteins, both in bulk and at high throughput
  • Maintain accurate and detailed lab records, including batch records and experiment documentation
  • Assist in troubleshooting expression or purification challenges and optimizing protocols
  • Prepare buffers and reagents, maintain reagent stocks, and ensure high laboratory standards
  • Collaborate closely with team members to achieve project goals and timelines
  • Comply with lab safety protocols and best practices in protein handling and biohazard management
