About The Position

The University of Washington's School of Oceanography is seeking a full-time Research Associate Professor to develop and fund a research program focused on oceanographic flow cytometry. The role is a term appointment for up to five years, with a 12-month service period and a base salary range of $9,500-$18,000 per month based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in biological sciences.
• At least five years of experience at the senior research scientist level or higher.
• At least two years of experience at the research assistant professor level or higher.
• Successful track record in writing research grants.
• Experience mentoring research by graduate and undergraduate students.
• Software development experience in R.
