Works under general direction to perform professional level medical or scientific research assignments related to particular or specialized field of endeavor. The Shiloh laboratory conducts cutting-edge research in basic mechanisms of infectious diseases, with a focus on bacterial pathogens that infect humans via the airway and lungs. This position will support graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in their projects by conducting molecular and cellular biology experiments. There are also opportunities for the development of independent projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in a basic science laboratory setting including lab techniques such as PCR, cloning, cell biology and microscopy is necessary. Experience managing projects independently and working with animal experiements is a plus.
