About The Position

The Research Associate III position at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center involves providing technical and administrative support in a multi-project oriented lab under the guidance of Principal Investigator Ze'ev Ronai, Ph.D. The role includes coordinating lab activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and contributing to research through data analysis and publication efforts. The incumbent will also have supervisory responsibilities and assist in the planning and execution of research projects.

Requirements

• Bachelors Required; MS or PhD in biomedical sciences or related field.
• 3 years of experience in an area of research specialization.
• Technical skills and expertise in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, engineering, or mass spectrometry.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the medical center.
• Mice colony experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides miscellaneous clinical/research support including data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Organizes clinical/research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor/funding source.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Analyzes data and prepares scientific findings for publication as author or co-author.
• May make independent presentations.
• May provide system administration and maintenance for the local workstation network.
• Leads and trains Research Lab Assistants, Research Fellows, lower level Research Associates, and other related support staff.
• Orients new Research Fellows and/or Research Scientists to day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
