About The Position

The Research Associate II at Exact Sciences is responsible for conducting bench experiments and analyzing data to support Research and Development projects aimed at developing diagnostic assay products. This role involves collaboration with a team and requires adherence to safety and quality standards while working in a laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemical/Physical/Biological Science, or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology and/or biochemical techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bench level experiments within a specific product or technology area.
  • Plan, record, and analyze results of bench level experiments with guidance.
  • Operate scientific instrumentation and notify personnel of any issues.
  • Utilize established methods or technologies effectively.
  • Contribute ideas to improve team processes.
  • Provide technical input and participate in project planning and experimental design decisions.
  • Maintain a complete and consistent lab notebook following legal, ISO, and QSR requirements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation summarizing experimental results for supervisors and project teams.
  • Present experimental results and updates at project or departmental meetings.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of identifiable factors.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with project team members to meet department and project objectives.
  • Work within collaboratively established project timeframes.
