The Computer Science Department (CSD) is one of the seven academic departments in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). We are looking for a Research Associate II to work on an Agentic AI project for document understanding, especially in the legal domain. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with data collection, analysis and research methods
  • Good experience with machine learning
  • Experience with LLM's and/or AI models
  • Experience with cloud deployments and databases
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
  • Successful background investigation

Responsibilities

  • Working with databases and software development

  • Collect, verify and manage data
  • Data analysis
  • Gather input for functional specifications and requirements
  • Maintain technical documentation
