The Research Associate II will be responsible for isolating DNA, RNA, miRNA and/or protein from various types of blood and tissue specimens, assessing the quantity and quality of the extracted materials, and preparing these samples for downstream analyses. The RAII may also be required to perform RNA, miRNA and/or protein expression analyses; SNP and copy number analysis; targeted DNA and RNA sequencing; and other molecular lab protocols as needed. The RAII will also help implement new protocols and experimental platforms, assisting with troubleshooting as needed. The RAII must maintain detailed and organized records of all laboratory experiments, accurately interpret and report results to the Director, and complete assignments within the specified timeframe. Minimal instruction/supervision provided on routine protocols/experiments; general instructions on new assignments.
