The Research Associate II position in the Cetrulo Lab at Cedars-Sinai involves conducting complex experimental protocols and supporting research efforts in cancer immunology and immunotherapy. The role is integral to advancing medical research and requires a dedicated professional who can work independently and collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

  • Perform a variety of increasingly complex experimental protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in the design of new complex or unusual protocols and techniques.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
  • Assist in identifying and troubleshooting unexpected results.
  • Order laboratory supplies and support laboratory operations.
  • Maintain lab equipment and related records, coordinating the use of lab equipment as necessary.
  • Assist in the operation of specialized equipment required by the area of research.
  • Prepare data for publication and/or presentation at scholarly meetings.
  • Observe and comply with safety standards and procedures.
  • Orient research laboratory assistants or lower-level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-to-day lab operations and routine procedures.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in biological science required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in area of research specialization, outside of undergraduate research experience.
  • Experience in research of cancer immunology and immunotherapy, or tumors preferred.
  • Understanding of general research objectives.
  • Highly motivated, with superior interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures and budgetary requirements.
  • Experience in cancer immunology and immunotherapy research.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.26 to $36.14.
