About The Position

There has never been a more exciting time to join IVIVA, a United Therapeutics company. This position offers someone the opportunity of a lifetime – to see a product into something real, an opportunity to create a human kidney equivalent and save lives on a scale before unknown. The Research Associate II – Cell production and Process Development will perform and contribute to the design of cell studies as well as execute analytical methods to support the production and process development of iPS-derived cells and cellularized 3D scaffolds for the development of autologous 3D printed tissue engineered organs. Perform and assist ongoing optimization of the processes to expand and differentiate iPS cells into various cell types under limited oversight Collaborate with scientists to perform and optimize cellular processes to support the production of iPS-derived renal cells Assist in cell studies to address technical and scientific challenges to expansion and differentiation of iPSC-derived cells Prepare, record and manage materials, reagents, and solutions to support cell production and tissue engineering experiments Write and update standard operating procedures and batch records for various differentiation, isolation, expansion and QC processes Record all laboratory data in the in-house data management system(s) Write and update standard operating procedures for operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment Conduct the technical transfer of assays into the production team or to internal manufacturing, as needed Maintain smooth operations of the lab, including maintenance of lab supplies, monitoring of equipment, providing general lab support and helping identify areas for improvement Follow proper procedures regarding laboratory safety, use of personal protective equipment, and handling of biohazard materials, including human or animal cells and tissues Meet 1:1 with managers to review results and progress
