The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at Carnegie Mellon University is looking for a Research Associate to assist in the development and execution of research projects including experiment design, analysis of data collected, and writing up experiment results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Research Lab and Research Methodology
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
  • Successful Background check

Responsibilities

  • Identify problems and obstacles to progress; develop strategies to solve problems
  • Program software in support of job functions
  • Attends project meetings
  • Perform research experiments following experimental protocol and procedures
  • Research and documents information by compiling and maintaining accurate and detailed records
  • Summarize statistical information for analysis, examination or presentation; write technical reports
  • May build and validate quantitative models
  • Use a variety of software packages to input, manipulate, collect and record results or observations
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support study needs and animal welfare
