About The Position

Monte Rosa Therapeutics seeks to recruit a highly motivated research associate to join its proteomics group in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team responsible for target identification of novel small molecule degraders. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently conducting his/her own experiments from sample preparation, LC-MS acquisition, to data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of the proteomics results. The candidate should exhibit excellent communication and collaborative skills for working on cross-functional multi-disciplinary drug discovery teams.

Requirements

  • BSc and/or MSc in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in protein mass spectrometry/proteomics in Pharma, Biotech or equivalent

  • Critical and independent thinking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, strong scientific curiosity and interest in drug discovery

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in protein post-translational modification analysis, protein-protein-interaction analysis, and targeted mass spectrometry analysis would be appreciated
  • Proficiency in culturing mammalian cells and utili zing sterile techniques is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Perform TMT and LFQ based quantitative proteomics experiments from cell culture compound treatment, sample preparation, nano LC-MS/MS to data analysis
  • Prepare biological samples for proteomics analysis and execute protein biochemical techniques (SDS page, Western blots, BCA, LC peptide fractionations)
