Research Associate-Fixed Term
About The Position
A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with Dr. Zhaojian Li. The primary responsibility of the research associate is to work on the smart agriculture field and disseminate research results through publications and conferences. A strong engineering, computer vision, and agriculture background are essential. In addition, the research associate will be expected to assist in writing research proposals and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. This is a one-year position renewed annually with extension contingent on funding and performance.
Requirements
- Doctorate - Electrical and computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
- A demonstrated record of good publications in related field.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering, computer vision, and agricultural applications.
- Be able to work independently and in collaboration with other researchers; publish findings in peer-reviewed journals; and write proposals and reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
