About The Position

The Research Associate position at Georgetown University's Department of Global Health is designed to support the implementation of various global health projects funded by different organizations. The role involves conducting research and evaluation projects related to global health, health systems, and health economics, working closely with faculty and senior staff to promote evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

• Master's degree in global health, health economics, public health, public policy, data science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the design of research studies and preparation of technical reports.
• Ability to understand and utilize scientific terminology and research theory in both verbal and written communications.
• Ability to provide theoretical, conceptual, and writing support on research analysis and findings.
• Skill in statistical programming, interpretation and data analysis using statistical software, as well as spreadsheet and database software applications.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of costing health services.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of cancer treatment and service delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature review to inform study design and implementation.
• Collect financial, costing, or other types of data from the field, traveling in the country and out of the country when expected.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Write reports, proposals, and other documents as needed.
• Support faculty members and other research staff in research and teaching, as well as related logistics.
• Work independently and exercise professional judgment and initiative, being accountable for the delivery and reliability of their work.
