About the Role: We’re looking for a Research Associate on the Research team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Assistant Principal Scientist, you’ll support in vitro studies for preclinical programs focused on neurological and muscular genetic diseases. What You'll Do: In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the execution of cell-based assays, development of disease-relevant models, and evaluation of therapeutic constructs in a collaborative research environment. Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, or a related field along with 0+ years of experience in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology.
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data reporting
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are required
  • Ability to work under supervision, as well as independently

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and culture mammalian cell lines and primary cells, ensuring sterility, consistency, and optimal cell health
  • Execute in vitro experiments, including transfection, transduction, and dose-response studies
  • Support CRISPR-based experiments and screening workflows, including guide RNA handling and downstream analysis
  • Perform molecular and cellular assays (e.g., qPCR, Western blot, ELISA) to assess gene and protein expression
  • Conduct immunocytochemistry and imaging-based assays to evaluate cellular phenotypes
  • Acquire and analyze microscopy images using image analysis software to quantify experimental outcomes
  • Collect, process, and store samples for downstream analyses
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic lab notebooks and experimental records
  • Analyze and summarize data; contribute to internal reports and team discussions
  • Assist with assay development, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Follow laboratory protocols and safety standards
