We are currently seeking a Research Associate for our Biomechanics Practice in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to conduct and plan data collection efforts that support clients in consumer product development roles.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Kinesiology, Physiology, or other related disciplines
  • Ability to work in teams with a strong desire to contribute
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and real-time problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in conducting empirical or human‑subjects studies is preferred
  • Experience with budgeting or project management is preferred
  • Experience with hardware and software development or troubleshooting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating studies that include the use of human-subjects and exemplars
  • Requesting, screening, and scheduling human-subjects (surrogates) and exemplars for studies
  • Managing and compiling human-subjects database
  • Moderating user studies with a wide variety of participants at various locations around the U.S., including Phoenix, AZ, and internationally
  • Communicating progress updates and revisions of study protocol to clients, project managers, and executives within the firm
  • Troubleshooting study execution issues in the field and proposing corrective actions
  • Developing project management and execution strategy with consultant team to accomplish project goals
  • Operating and troubleshooting prototype hardware systems
  • Managing laboratory equipment and space including logging, maintenance, and scheduling
  • Working in teams with senior consultants to develop full project proposals and budgets based on statements of work from clients
