Research Associate, Analytical Development
About The Position
We are seeking a highly effective, motivated recent graduate to join our team. You will experience all facets of building a startup at a cutting edge biotech company in San Carlos! You will work with an experienced team of founders and scientists running lab experiments and assays. Requirements
- Extremely strong work ethic
- Experience working with an HPLC
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry
- Python scripting ability
- Highly motivated and ambitious
- Proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Slides
- Live within a 30 minute commute of San Carlos
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of USP guidelines
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
- Experience working in a biosafety cabinet
- Experience with cell culturing
- Experience working with a plate reader
- Experience with qPCR
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of a research scientist, perform lab work including:
- Quality control of sterile compounded pharmaceuticals
- Method development on an HPLC
- Record experimental methods and results in Benchling
- Read and summarize papers
- Contribute to BD efforts
- Whatever else is needed for the company to succeed
