The Department of Cell Biology is currently seeking a full time Research Associate 3. The Research Associate 3, SOM assumes responsibility for the design and performance of research focused on the development of novel experimental therapies for human malignancies. The incumbent contributes to collaborations with scientists within the University of Miami or elsewhere. Moreover, this individual works as part of a team and assists with the maintenance of laboratory equipment, protocols, and supplies. Candidates will be involved in evaluating cell-based immunotherapy using STING activators for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Candidates will support research activities at the University and work under the direction of a principal investigator. Candidates work under direct supervision but are expected to carry out research duties with creativity and latitude. Collects and analyzes data as requested and maintains an overview of relevant research findings. Prepares reports of research results for public presentation through seminars and conferences. Maintains appropriate databases. Ensures accurate written and computerized records. Undertakes literature searches for the research project. Interprets and presents the findings of the literature searches, advising the research teams appropriately regarding potential projects. Ensures all research is undertaken according to good research practice and guidance. Expected to contribute to extramural proposals, publications, and presentations relevant to the specific area of research.
