About The Position
The School of Medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center ( LSUHSC ) in New Orleans seeks applications for a Research Associate 1 position to perform experiments related to development of targeted osmotic lysis of cancer cells. Experiments are conducted within well defined guidelines and includes the testing of hypotheses, animal experimentation, cell culture, and data analysis. The incumbent will be trained on the responsible conduct of research and ethics in research. The position requires a high level of organization, reliability, flexible hours, intrinsic motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities also include training student workers and interns.
