About The Position

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in a biological/health science research capacity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, execution, and management of the Comprehensive Transplant Center Human Tissue Biorepository.
• Develop and implement goals and objectives of the biorepository.
• Perform clinical, basic, and translational research work.
• Participate in clinical trial activities.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments and processing protocols.
• Coordinate biospecimen procurement with surgeons, clinical staff, and pathology.
• Establish and maintain relationships with biorepository customers.
• Process, code, store, and transport biospecimens such as human organs, tissue, cells, and blood.
• Collect and record clinical data associated with biospecimens.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and develop safety procedures.
• Train and coordinate laboratory activities of junior staff.
• Assist in the preparation of research papers and proposals for funding.
