Duties and Responsibility: Assist with experiments, including fiber photometry, ex vivo electrophysiology, cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, RNAscope in situ hybridization, survival stereotaxic surgery for microinjection of viral vector into the mouse brain, and rodent behavioral tests Analyze experimental results using computer‐aided data analysis software Maintain accurate databases and experimental notebooks of results Communicate results in a timely fashion Maintain and genotype mouse colonies Utilize the online Transnetyx/MyColony software application for managing/tracking mice Prepare buffers and reagents Assist with general laboratory operation and inventory Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, chemistry or a related field of study from an accredited institution of higher education required At least one year of laboratory experience strongly preferred Previous scientific work with rodents strongly preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel, strongly preferred Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of lab members required Attention to detail and work with minimal supervision required Self‐motivation with a strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability required
